Our 'Lil Punkin'

Emalyn was asked to dress up at daycare with her schoolmates and take photographs...so at home before we left for the day, I snapped these shots. She's so patient, isn't she?

And of course we couldn't leave out our Bumble Q. Gotta love the antenna!

Apple Orchard

So on a crisp Fall day we decided it was time to go to the apple orchard. As you can see we already had our prime time for the leaves changing color and the majority have fallen to the ground. The first photo is outside our front door.

We visited an orchard called Emma Krumbee's. We have passed it numerous occasions as it is right off 169 south, but have never stopped to get any apples or pies or yummy treats. Now that we have a kid, I guess we will make point of stopping at these kinds of places more often! Cameron and Emalyn became scarecrows and mommy fed the goats/miniature horses/donkeys.

Then we went on a tractor ride. Along the ride there was a stop to get pumpkins-but we just went along for the ride. You can actually pick strawberries at this orchard too-behind the tractor there are rows and rows of strawberries...maybe next year!

Lastly, we were able to enjoy a kid's train ride. I was holding Emalyn and Cameron took the shot. She looks like she loved it doesn't she!??! HA!

All throughout the orchard, were scarecrows. There was some kind of competition....and actually, I am not even sure who won....but I liked these two the best. All the veggies on the stand are fake except for the gourds. That's why I thought this one was worthy of a photo. Hard work to make it look realistic!

HAPPY AUTUMN!!

Open Wide!

So, I think Emalyn has finally gotten the hang of eating and now proceeds to open her mouth to let me know SHE is ready to have the next bite. We used to have to tease her to open her mouth by touching one of her lips with the spoon-not anymore! It could just be because they were sweet potatoes....?

Halloween Parade

Cameron's office has an annual family day in October where all the kids can dress up and walk a parade through all of their offices. Emalyn was our little pumpkin as you can see.

And we did great for quite some time, until sleepiness overtook her and she was out for about 1/2 the parade. That's okay...we still got some candy!

Here are some other kids at the base in their costumes....

This is Jeff and his wife Tiffany and their son Jacob. Jacob is about 2 weeks older than Emalyn.

This is Peyton, the daughter of Cameron's co-worker as Dorothy (as if I had to tell you what she dressed up as!!)

Afterwards, we were all getting ready to leave, and another mom in Cameron's office thought it would be fun to have all the babies born around the same time to have their photograph taken together....only two of us made it and actually took photos. Here is Emalyn with Jackson-he is 2 months older than Emmy.

So, when it was all said and done, and Emalyn was getting ready for her bath. We realized when she conked out in her stroller, she actually got a little sunburn on her cheek (it was gone by the next morning)....ugh, look at those tired eyes!

Creating Memories

So I am already getting nastalgic and realize that the time in which I am able to hold Emalyn will be ending before I know it. I asked Cameron to take this photo of her sleeping in my arms-and we actually took a whole bunch more, but I won't bore you with those....I think the nastalgia only exists for the actual parent.

Emalyn and her Daddy chillin. Anothe image we want to capture before she starts running away from us when we just ask for a hug!!
