Book Club

Unfortunately, we won't be hearing too much of Emalyn's opinion on this particular book, however, she very evidently shows her vast interest in books. (Which I am beyond grateful for!!)

Chatting over Lunch

Just to prove how much Emmy loves her new highchair, we have captured it on video...literally, within minutes of putting it together....Emalyn gets to enjoy her new vantage point...in the living room! Bon Apetit!

New Seating

So we have been utilizing the Bumbo for Emalyn for pretty much EVERYthing since we got it. Luckily she isn't an oversized baby and we have been able to use it much longer than some of our friends and their babies...one of our friends got to use their onle about 2 weeks before their son grew out of it! Unbelieveble!
Well, as you can see, it was time to go ahead and get a highchair. Of course, Little Miss Emalyn loves it. I think mainly because she can peep out over her "domain." And it is a much needed change of scenery then from where she used to sit. Cam and I kind of had fun with the crazy kid colors. We thought about going with one of the neutrals they offered, but this one just had enough "fun" to it, we chose this one.
AHHHH. I'snt she just so cute!

BEAUTIFUL!

As I was feeding little miss, the spoon got a little too close to the suddenly croutching head and splat!! Smushed on the forehead. The dot on th enose just occurred minutes earlier....one would have thought I learned. At least she doesn't seem to mind.

Really Cute

She's just so sweet, I can't even describe it. Look at that happy little face. Love her, LOVE HER! I also love the way those little leather slippers look on her feet, kind of a retro tennis shoe. Normally, I wouldn't have gone for the pink, but they are really cute.

Monday, December 22

Hoo, Hoo

Notice the owls on her pajama's?

They gave the feet eyes and a beak....ugh, girls clothes is just so ridiculously cute. Good night, night owls....!

Sicky

We have been sick, sick, sick. Started out with a runny nose, little cough then a full blown fever. Tylenol brought it down, but we went to the Dr. just in case. She said nothing was serious. But if the fever came back, well, it might be an ear infection.....GUESS WHAT(!).....fever came back, and we returned to the Dr. and it wasn't just an ear infection but a DOUBLE dear infection. Let's just say administering the pink nasty amoxicillin isn't very fun. Nope.

Now Mommy has started with a cold and it just won't let up. Maybe the extra days off during Christmas will allow for some relaxation.....HA!! I'm still going to look forward to not having to go into the office!

Workin' Girl

Emalyn loves when we sit with her and check our email or the weather or something on the internet. She expecially loves the mouse and keyboard. So we have one now for her.

She is so business like already, huh

Also, Cam and I never seem to quite make it to Christmas Day with all the gifts we start out for one another. It has become a tradition that Cameron buys me a Swarovski Crystal Snowflake each year....this year's is close up below. I love seeing them sparkle under the chandelier.

After Church on Sunday

This little dress of Emalyn's is one of my favorites. I really couldn't wait to have her wear it. Let alone with that head band....she is just too cute!

And, without the sweater. I just want to bite off those adorable chubby cheeks.

Then later on that day...this shot, well, it was just funny. She's really reaching for that toy, huh?

Monday, December 8

I always wonder...

What is she thinking when she looks like this?

Saturday, December 6

Uncle Phillip and Aunt Abrielle

THANK YOU for your thoughtful gifts!

As you can see Emmy enjoyed opening them, (until we realized it would take so long that I wouldn't have been able to post these photos until next week).

So we helped her out a little bit....

GO RED SOX!! Nice bib! We also received a Red Sox hand painted night light, which we will be using every night to light the way to her room, since she has taken to waking *at least* once an evening. This Classic Pooh blanket is super fuzzy, soft on one side and silky, smooth satin on the other....it says "my First Christmas." Which it is!!

ADORABLE matching Santa/Classic Pooh hat...it fits perfectly and obviously Emmy knows how good she looks-- "what can I say, I'm mah-velous!" Emmy also received matching Classic Pooh bibs-sorry no photos modeling the goods!

She really loves the color and textures of that blanket...

Thanks, from Emmy!!

Even Q was not forgotten--he received fruity smelling shampoo. Tthanks, from Q!

We really wish we could have spent this Christmas holiday with you guys....thanks so much for the gifts you sent for us as well. Enjoy your Christmas in TX!!

Taste the Rainbow

This outfit of Emalyn's is one of my FAVORITES. I really don't know why, other than it is a little t-shirt layered over a long sleeve onesie paired with khakis, similar to an outfit any adult would wear...

...it causes me to smile just looking at it. Hopefully you will to!! However, Quincy-no. He is not smiling.

Big...Real Big.

We like to smile big...so big, vision is impaired. Clothing by Australian design, from a dear friend/student of Oma Weiss.

Emalyn's 6 Month Photos (11-2-08)

MJFotography (Marnie Fiedler). SHE IS GREAT!

Monday, December 1

Infant Art from November

Did you know Emalyn can paint?

She apparentlycan also glue on feathers to a cut out bird....and our favorite

Create a Turkey with her handprint. Isn't this the cutest? Cameron's favorite part is the little crooked pinky (a Weiss trait). Gotta love it.

Dedicated to the Lord

On our way TO church...

While AT church...

After church, at Redstone (YUMMMMM)....

(huh? what do you want me to do again?)

(Oh, smile! Here you go, here's a big one...)

(But this face is better!)
And finally, after everything, back at home. (And please notice Cameron acting so mature in the background! That's my man!)

These next two are for my parent's good friends Angela and Frank Gonzalez, as they gifted this BEAUTIFUL dress to us. She also gave us two beautiful sweaters, however they are just a tad too large right now for Emmy...soon though!

I am so jealous at how good a photo my parents and Emmy took in this one....

I only wish we had remembered to take some photos of Cameron's family as they joined us on this wonderful day!
