Background:
They just became pregnant and recently were able to find out the gender. It's a girl *YAY* and I asked if I could know the names that they have been turning over/thinking about. Of course, I promised I wouldn't steal the names or tell anyone. She emailed me back and we realized the first name she chose was the middle name of our second choice were we not to choose Emalyn Ruth--and their first name choice, was exactly our second choice middle name! Same names, just transposed! WEIRD!
Then I find out tonight, they're choosing to decorate their nursery in Classic Pooh. WELL, SO DID I! Are you kidding!?!?!? The coincidences just keep on coming. However, I must say that I will be praying fervently that she doesn't have the same kind of labor/delivery I did. OY. Back labor. Epidural due to a swelling cervix, then Pitocin--just so I could feel those contractions "a little"....um, yeah. Oh, and four hours of pushing. And I still needed a little help from the vacuum. No one deserves to go through that.
So without further adeu (SP), I would like to show my Classic Pooh Nursery, as it is now a working nursery and I have everything where I need it (and still love the way it looks!):
When you walk into the room, this is basically the first view you have. See her cute Classic Pooh Mobile? It's kind of tiny, but she still loves it. And maybe you can tell, we have her mattress elevated currently due to a stuffy nose that I want to assist draining. You can't see Emmy's super cool dragon humidifier to aid in the drainage....he blows the cool mist out of his ears....love it!
This is the view from the opposite side of the room, behind the crib, where all those stuffed animals were trying to peek out from. My mom quilted that BEAUTIFUL hanging quilt, of course Classic Pooh. The white bag looking like thing hanging from the dresser is actually a clothes hamper....please excuse that. It is a necessity though!
Now, this is the first of three prints Cameron found on Ebay. Super cool, classically aged, Classic Pooh prints. I LOVE how they turned out. Two above the crib and one by the door.
To my Milwaukee friends, I cannot wait to see your interpretation of Classic Pooh for your precious little girl!!

Hey! Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! I LOVE that quilt that your Mom made. So beautiful and so, so special! Those classic prints are awesome, too. What a great nursery!!
Thanks for the baby k'tan reference. Having not yet purchased one, I'm using a wrap I have. Not so comfy for mommy, he prefers it to the front pack thing we have.
Cute blog. Love the classic pooh prints. Thank Goodness for ebay!
What a cute nursery! I hope ours turns out as nice. There's so much Pooh stuff out there. Awesome prints and quilt! That's some talent there. And yes, I hope we're not completely identical up to delivery time! That sounded rough. Miki's was rough too - forceps. Ouch. Hope you and Cameron are doing well, and hope Emalyn is her same content self that I see in the pics. :) How has motherhood been going?
