Stockings for Thanksmas...

We honestly didn't think Emalyn would yet enjoy the tearing of gift wrap...and we were oh so wrong. Not only did she obviously love the sound and the process, she loved the taste!

She received VeggieTales and some proof sets, of which you can see she very much enjoyed!

Next we thought it would be fun fo her to take a lick of a candy cane....first lick, she loved it (I am sure the sugar)....

next lick, not so much-as you can see from her expression! Cameron enjoyed the rest!

More Sunday Best

Blurry I know, but she's so cute...

And inquisitive.

Thanksmas!

Due to my parents being here for the Thanksgiving holiday, we are also going to celebrate Christmas since we will not be seeing them in December.....therefore, Thanksmas was born! However, I will spare you the images of opening presents and get to the good parts, Emmy with me, and Q and her grandparents! Yay!

First here is Emalyn with a book that she got from her grandparents. You can see Quincy in the background thinking he should have gotten something too...ha!

I really like this next one!

Seriously, this next one came out so great of the three of them....G-ma, G-pa and Emmy.

Here is G-pa tickling Emmy's toes....she was kicking up a storm!

And of course, a sweet Emalyn serious shot...she is just too adorable!

Grammy and Grampy

So my parents are in from TX, visiting with us. Obviously Emalyn has grown SO much since they have not seen her since she was 5 weeks old! They have been having a lot of fun with her as you will see...but first-QUINCY!!

This is a photo of him before he gets to go on a walk with them (every evening). This particular evening the weather was a bit chilly so we wanted him to stay a little warmer with this military "coat." We really are ridiculous....but he still loves us!

As mentioned, here are the grandparents enjoying Emmy on the couch as she lays back and decides to lean on my dad's legs. She's crazy!

She is a crazy sweet little thing; here is a close up of everyone.

Then we got bored, so we decide we should go to the floor and practice sitting up...she's all business getting that block!

And finally before bed, I decided to set out our Department 56, Dickens Village. Our tradition is to purchase a house every year. Cameron and I alternate years as to who gets to choose the house/building and the other person gets to choose the people. We have fun with it, although it looks like we may need to come up with something different as Miss Emalyn looks like she may already have a strong attraction to the houses!

Watch out, Dickens Village, here comes Miss Emalyn!!

Sunday Evening

Although these are pretty much blurry, you can still tell the fun we had the Sunday night....
Laughing and Smiling....

And more smiling....

And more laughing....

And just plain having a good time!

Can't show the photo...

Being the wonderful, normal parents that we are, thinking that even our daughter's spit up is beautiful, I have decided to spare you the image Cam and I recently took of Emalyn....and her adorable smile.....while sitting up.....next to her first...firm...turd.

Sittin' On Up

I've definitely gotten much better at sitting up....

WHAT!?!?!? Yes, all by myself. (I was watching Quincy play with his dragon, he growled at it and I always gets somewhat surprised as you can see in my eyes.)

Aren't I doing well?!?

This is just to show you how I flop around....I did better than mommy & daddy thought I could-they're really proud of me :)

6 Months Old

No, Quincy isn''t that young anymore...but we wanted to get this cute one of him in the blog since it really did turn out so nicely....Emalyn is now 6 months old! Hard to believe. The quilt you see in the photos, I actually made. Not one of my best, but it comes in handy for "rolling over" time and "sitting up" time. We prefer her to not get dog hair all over her should we place her on the carpet :)

Sunny November Days

Unbelievably, today in Minnesota hit high temps in the 70's. It was beautiful, and so we had to keep Emalyn in the same spirit with a daisy/sunflower dress Cameron had picked out. She is workingon sitting up by herself, thus she is looking like she may eat her shoes at any given moment....

Then she decided she wanted to look shy....

And this one would have been the best shot if my lousy wrist brace wasn't so obnoxious.
BIG CHEESE, here!

Way Overdue

Although I have kept pretty up to date with Emalyn's progress in everyday life-I had yet to post these photographs from August. Emalyn was 3 months old. I seriously LOVE every single one of these shots....

Especially this next one...

Have I mentioned she is a smiley little thing? This next one is how she greets me EVERY single morning when I wake her up. Not kidding, every single morning. Love it.
