37" waist!

Made it to 8 months and as the heading states, with a 37 inch waist...celebrated the growth (I guess) with a haircut. needed a little change. Definitely a cut I have had before, but always loved it so I decided to reinstate the low-mainenance do. Not to mention, I have been told I now moved to a "mommy" do! Perfect timing, I guess!

7 Months!!

Can you tell the growth? I am definitely a lot bigger, but interestingly enough, when I am next to other pregnant women, I barely look 4-5 months! Is it a blessing? We'll see!

Safety First....

Made some other purchases this weekend.....the Chicco Key Fit 30 in "Extreme." We also bought another car seat base for Cameron's car for ease of getting the baby in and out-especially in the winter. This carrier is supposed to fit a child up to 32 inches and 30 lbs-let's hope if she really is a little girl that she doesn't hit that weight within the first year-that's a big baby!!

I wanted to avoid hauling a mammoth of a stroller around since it seems EVERYONE else must. You know the ones I'm talking about, they have the cup holders....and baby tray....and toy bar.....and the list keeps going! I just need to get from point a, to point b and these two items are what will do it! I haven't yet gotten the above stroller frame, that is to come-and only if Cameron and I really decide it is a necessity (it's about $50-not bad). Our Maclaren will be able to be used as early as 3 months so if we can make it that long we should be good.

Just thought I'd show you all the fun purchases we get to spend our money on! Next to come is the crib-but since we already know which one we want to get....here it is! We also are getting it in this Antique Walnut color (more oak-y in color). It is VERY sturdy and we are deciding to go without a drop-down side (that also means it will turn into a day bed and full size bed eventually). If she starts crawling out of the crib-short side will be turned against the wall (I have actually thought about that one!!)!

Good News

Thought I'd share a photo of the beautiful stroller we received as a gift (I really do love it). Instead of it being charcoal and lemon-limey color, it is charcoal and a soft sage green. Very neutral, but very pretty....again, beautiful in my eyes. (Seriously.)
I had my 6 month checkup and found that the low lying placenta is VERY marginal and it will most likely not be the cause for a scheduled c-section. Yeah! Granted, choosing to be happy between labor and a c-section, I may not be so happy come May, but at least for this first baby, I want to see how delivery goes! Talk to me in June when it's all over and we'll see what I have to say then....I don't know if I mentioned this before, but they do indeed think (about 90 prercent) we will have a girl.

Cameron and I are still sorting through "stuff" in the house and getting rid of a lot of it-which actually is very, very good. I will be posting some before and after nursery photos when we get the crib put together and rest of the room painted.

We can hardly count the (many, many) days in front of us until we get to see the baby!!

Even Bigger!

Not the greatest photo (I look tired, but actually wasn't...), but had to get 6 months posted for all to see the growth! We are getting even more excited as the time for the baby to arrive is getting closer and closer. We still have to finish the baby room (little more painting to do and getting the crib put together and in there). The closet in the baby's room has also been emptied and is getting put back together with the organizational shelves and the bins I think we may need....kind of hard to know what you need where when you haven't had a child before! Luckily, the shelving can be moved easily, so things may change again after the arrival.

Can't wait to see how big I am next time.....!

21 Weeks Ultrasound

We've received a gender guess of a girl from the radiologist. It was too hard to see anything as the baby wasn't cooperating with her legs! Below is the profile, it took a while for us to get this one as her face was tilted towards my back!
Some people have commented the below frontal view of her face looks like a Halloween mask....hopefully not when she comes out!!
This one of the single foot is my favorite. Probably because I like shoes so much (and am already looking for adorable ones that fit her)!!
She's a thumb sucker!! Better break that habit....

4 & 5 Months, Respectively

People have been asking what I look like now that I am just past the halfway point.....So, I thought it might be time to start posting the "growing belly" photos. As the heading states, 4 & 5 months respectively.

I finally have come to terms with the fact that although it is an amazing miracle to feel this baby inside and know it is growing, I can't maintain my weight well, or help what my body looks like very easily-or at all! But the pregnancy is nothing less than good for me, which I definitely consider a blessing!!!!

Little kicker....

I am approximately 19 weeks and Cam finally was able to feel the baby move during the Christmas Holiday! So fun, yet so weird. I never really got the soft little flitters other people talk about, just solid "muscle spasm" type movements, every so often.

My mom was able to feel the kicks too and was surprised to feel how strong our little one is! She was expecting something much less, more of a movement type bump, but she was given a nice, strong KICK!

Ultrasound photos to come first/second week in Jan!! We are excited and if we can, we will find out the gender!! We'll just see!!

Hi, Baby...

So at least after our little scare, we were able to come home with this very rewarding photo. The baby's first photo! Here, he's about 11 weeks. Because he is so young/small we had the difficulty hearing his little heart with the other equipment.

Kind of interesting, huh!?!?!!

Cravings.....

Full nine weeks now....and there are already baby fingerprints! Kind of weird to think of that much detail already being created! It's finally a "fetus!"

Still doing really well, I can't say that I have had any kind of nausea to speak of. The only food that has really given me any trouble is popcorn....yes, of all things, popcorn!

I have to say that this week the cravings have been the worst! Those 99cent Jr Bacon Cheesburgers from Wendy's are awesome.....and who can't resist a 99cent Jr cheeseburger? Then... I had to try the chicken nuggets from Wendy's and man, dip them in their BBQ-you're set! So these items are only during lunch! Dinner keeps calling on the bratwurts and polish sausages....They were really good too!
